Once this add-on is active on a player, end users will be able to see the unit's real-time status via a visual indicator in the QL Manager interface. Users can also gather additional information by consulting the Monitoring report.
The QL Real-Time Monitoring Add-On tracks and reports on the following alerts:
• Loss of player heartbeat (indicating loss of connectivity)
• Abnormal application termination
• No content scheduled for player
• No data feed available
• Player PC is running out of media storage space
• Player PC's RAM, handles, GDI or threads exceed normal operating parameters
• Content playback error (video codec not recognized or corrupt media for example)
• Content awaiting approval
The QL Real-Time Monitoring Add-On tracks and reports on the following events:
• New content has been published
• Content has expired
• A user requires authorization to activate content added to library
• Screens have been turned off (put to sleep) or turned on (awake)
When used in combination with the Navori RS232 Windows SDK you also get access to additional information such as:
• Display screen is powered ON
• Display screen is powered OFF
• Display screen error state
The RS232 Windows SDK lets users programmatically link to various hardware manufacturer's products to interpret the screen status information. When active users will see a new status indicator in the Monitoring report window.
